Water Seminar – Less is More Civic Exchange
Greenware joined the Civic Exchange “Water Seminar II: Less is More” on 30 July 2013. Ms. Su Liu (Head of Greater China & Water Policy Research, Civic Exchange) presented her new research findings examining water issues under one country two systems. Renowned speakers led us to discussions on Hong Kong’s water tariff, water self-sufficiency and urban ecological security, as well as Civil society’s role in Hong Kong’s water issues.
Industry Visit to Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) Limited – Recycling Centre
About 20 participants joined the BEC Industry Visit to Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) Limited - Recycling Centre in Tsuen Wan to learn more about the company’s action in minimizing wastage at the various stages in its products’ life-cycle. The Centre dissembles electronic wastes such as electronic document management equipment, toners and other consumables returned by customers and reuse locally; otherwise divides them into 15 material groups, which are transported to Thailand for further recycling processes. The visit allows participants to have a closer look at the operations and management of the used product materials recovery.
